Le Mal de Terre is a short film based on real events.
Having to move to Quebec, Ayo Koumbi, a doctor by profession in his native country, has been unable to resume his duties as a doctor on his adopted land for about 5 years.
Originally from Ivory Coast, Claude Emmanuelle Yapo moved to Quebec in 2010 with her family.
After her studies at Cégep, she directed a documentary entitled Bienvenue chez nous as part of 'Etre Noire à Montréal' program.
She continued her cinematographic studies at the University of Montreal where she obtained her bachelor's degree in 2017. Inspired by her life, people around her and her readings, she wishes to make educational and socially conscious cinema whose topics are based on real facts.
